Our furry folk are handcrafted with love. Each one is the result of countless trials, design refinements and odd looking versions that have been given away to friends and family.

The final designs are made using high quality materials meaning our animals aren't just cute but are also made to last.

  • Iterative design

    Each animal starts its life as a basic illustration; sometimes on paper, sometimes on an iPad. We've even scratched out rough designs in the sand! These basic illustrations are refined in Adobe Illustrator then sent to our manufacturing partners for review. From there, there'll be a lot of samples sent to-and-fro as we slowly optimise each part of the animal. After many iterations, we'll have a final prototype!

  • Soft fabrics

    Our animals are wrapped in supremely soft 12-15mm cotton fur in pastel hues. Dense and velvety to the touch, this premium fur offers a plush and cuddly feel. With fur like this, you'll want to snuggle up and never let go.

  • Squishy recycled filling

    Our animals are filled with recycled polypropylene cotton which is satisfyingly puffy, retains its shape, is easy to wash and dries quickly. Best of all, it's softer on the earth.

    Aside from sustainability, we consider it critical that just the right amount of filling used. Too much and the critters are stiff and uninviting. Too little and they won't have structure, slumping rather than sitting.

  • Testing and safety

    All our furry friends are compliant with Australian and New Zealand safety regulations (AS/NZS ISO8124) and have been certified safe for children of all ages.

    They've been tested to make sure they won't accidentally start a house fire, pulled in all directions to make sure there's no loose bits that could be a choking hazard, and chemically tested for toxic substances. It's reassuring to know our animals will be ready for whatever their new life throws at them!
